Rangers Deal Spectres 5-4 Loss
|
The Buffalo Rangers beat the Philadelphia Spectres, 5-4, at Sony Field at Philadelphia. Bobby Rojas, in particular, was impressive. He was 2-5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Ricardo Alas, who finished 3rd in the EC in saves with 27 in 2078, nailed down the save. The Rangers, now 12-4, have played inspired baseball.
With Buffalo trailing 4-2 in the top of the fifth, Rojas hit a fastball from Jeong Lee for a 3-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Rangers ahead, 5-4.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Buffalo manager Alex Beckman.
