Kuthakwakulu Leads Aquas to Win
Houston took on Phoenix in front of a lively crowd.

The Houston Aquas beat the Phoenix Thunderbirds, 8-4, at Tesoro Stadium. The Aquas got a fine performance from center fielder David Kuthakwakulu, who was 3-3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. Victor Wix, now 3-0, was credited with the win in 1.2 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1.

Craig Lightsey, who is tied for 7th in the WC in home runs with 5, chipped in a 2-run home run for Houston in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.
