The Maine Lobster defeated the Philadelphia Spectres, 3-2, in Eastern Conference action at Ballpark of Portland. Maine pitcher Axel Mendiola had a standout performance. The win went to Kevin Newton in relief, making him now 1-0. Gary Banks took the loss for Philadelphia. Nick Crook earned the save for Maine, his 1st.

Roberto Fondin drew 1 walk for Maine. The slugging catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Tony Madena. It was his 4th RBI of the season.

"I was a little disappointed," said Philadelphia manager Ryan Huff. "We could've and should've scored more runs."

The Spectres drop to 8-8 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2085 season.
