Qiu, Destroyers March to 9-2 Victory
The San Diego Destroyers defeated the Seattle Arrows by the score of 9-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Lan-quing Qiu. Qiu went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Destroyers on the day. Fish Rablood, the winning pitcher, improved to 1-1. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 1 hits and no runs, while striking out 4 and walking 4. The Destroyers, with just their 5th win so far in 2084, have yet to catch fire.

In the top of the seventh, the Destroyers grabbed the lead when Qiu hit his 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run off Mark Kubina made it 2-0, San Diego.

"It feels good to get this one," Qiu told the San Diego Observer.
