Adamski Hits Two Homers in 7-5 Win for Miami
|
The Miami Cyclones defeated the Vancouver Wolves, 7-5, at Fox-Chong Park. Miami was led by 24-year old right fielder Adam Adamski, who hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Miami reliever Clement Powell was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Nick Campbell took the loss. Nestor Fajardo picked up the save, his 3rd.
Adamski had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 2-0 fastball from Nick Campbell, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Cyclones a 7-5 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Adamski.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Adamski told the Miami Bulletin.
The Wolves fall to 6-9 and continue their sub-.500 start to the 2084 season.
