The Philadelphia Spectres defeated the Havana Metropolitanos by the score of 10-1, with the biggest share of the credit going to center fielder Juan Martinez. Martinez went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Spectres on the day. Philadelphia goes to 1-1.
Philadelphia designated hitter Roberto Huerta contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 1st hit of the season and put the Spectres ahead, 2-0.
"We looked pretty good up and down," said Philadelphia manager Ryan Huff.
