Arrows Over Destroyers, 7-4
|
Etsuji Obata made an impact in the 7-4 Seattle win over San Diego. Obata, who is tied for 6th in the WC with a .607 slugging percentage, went 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Picking up the save was 17-year veteran Jimmy Hsia. The Destroyers fall to 4-11 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2086 season.
The Arrows got a big at-bat from third baseman Manichiro Kawasaki. For the game, Kawasaki hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Seattle a 2-1 lead.
Afterward, San Diego manager Steve Alstadt said: "We've hit a rough patch."
