Carl Rodda, who finished 3rd in the EC in ERA with 2.87 in 2083, was terrific for the Toronto Juggernauts in his team's 7-0 triumph over the Buffalo Rangers. His performance earned Rodda rave reviews. The winner was Rodda. He threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Xiong Loh. Toronto has a record of 6-8.

Toronto used the hitting of Ginjiro Muranaka to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Juggernauts on top, 2-0. For the game, Muranaka had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Said losing manager Alex Beckman: "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."
