The Maine Lobster launched their 2085 campaign with a victory over the Buffalo Rangers at Ballpark of Portland. Maine shortstop Ray Farr was instrumental in the 6-4 win. He was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. Rikio Kaneko snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits over 2 innings. He's now 1-0 on the season. Chris Maxwell locked down his 1st save.

Farr had a game-changing double in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-0 knuckleball from Jimmy Oyola, he banged a run-scoring double to right, giving the Lobster a 2-1 lead. It was the 1st double of the year for Farr.

"It never gets old," said Farr. "Winning, that is."
