The St. Louis Gaedels locked up a win at Veeck Park, knocking off the Cincinnati Twins, 8-5. On the mound for St. Louis was right-hander Grant Latour. He played a major role in the triumph. Brent Lannin earned his 2nd save, after closing out the game. The Twins, now 3-11, continue their slow start.

Luke Zakharov, who is tied for 10th in the EC in runs scored with 11, came through for St. Louis with a 2-run double in the bottom of the first. The right fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 3 runs batted in.

"I hate to be the fly in the ointment," said Zakharov, "but we could've played better."
