Arrows Grind Out 2-0 Win
|
Getting an impressive start from Hajime Ito, Seattle beat San Diego by the score of 2-0. Seattle, now 9-5, has played well in the early going.
The Arrows got a big hit from right fielder Etsuji Obata. Facing San Diego pitcher Allan Tinter in the bottom of the fifth, Obata pounded a solo home run to right. His 3rd home run of the season put the Arrows ahead, 2-0.
"When Hajime is on, he can really move the ball around," said Seattle manager Dr. Jay Siber.
