Maine Lobster starter Jim Lawrence found his groove in his team's 5-4 win over the New York Titans. Alcides Zaldivar picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Stephen Keane suffered the loss. Picking up his 3rd save was 29-year old left-handed pitcher Chris Maxwell.

Diego Velasquez helped out the Maine cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the center fielder drove in one run.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said New York manager Nate Beckman. "But we decided not to take it."

Maine goes to 6-7.
