Wolves Handle Aquas, 5-4

The Vancouver Wolves and Houston Aquas obliged fans looking for a good time.
The Vancouver Wolves picked up a win at Fox-Chong Park, knocking off the Houston Aquas, 5-4. On the mound for Vancouver was left-hander Dave Perez. He played a key role in the triumph. Perez got the win, improving to 2-1. He gave up 7 hits and walked 0 over 7 innings. He allowed 4 runs. Nick Campbell picked up the save for Vancouver, his 2nd of the year.
Manny Roman dealt the Aquas a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Vancouver leading 4-0, Roman hit a first pitch sinker for a run-scoring single.
Vancouver manager Zach Meinen was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
The loss drops Houston to 6-7.
