Miami left fielder Alonzo Armijo contributed significantly to his team's 8-4 win over the Vancouver Wolves. Armijo, who finished 2nd in the EC in on-base percentage with .422 in 2078, went 3 for 4 with no runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Cyclones. Victor Alonzo earned the win to go to 1-0. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts in 7 innings of work. The Wolves drop to 6-7 and continue their mediocre start to the 2084 season.

Greg Wozniak, who finished 4th in the EC in stolen bases with 36 in 2080, helped out the Miami cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the shortstop was 1 for 4 with a walk.
