The St. Louis Gaedels could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Ben Ford into a win. Instead, the New York Titans prevailed, 6-4, in 10 innings. Ford threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. St. Louis, now 2-11, continues its tough start.

Maddox Lannigan came through with a big-time hit for New York. The designated hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"There's no quit in this team," said Titans manager Nate Beckman.
