For the home crowd, it was a thrilling walk-off win.

No one was more impactful than Jose Gonzales in the 5-4 Montreal win over Santiago. Gonzales, who finished 2nd in the WC in batting average with .351 in 2080, went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Montreal reliever Jorge Baeza snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. John Frye shouldered the loss.

The decisive blow was delivered by Tai sun Chow in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run double off 24-year old left-handed pitcher John Frye to win the game for Montreal. The home crowd went nuts.

Chow said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."

The Harfangs raised their record to 7-5.
