Boston had no answer for Brooklyn Browns hurler Angelo Somoza, who overwhelmed Greens hitters as the Browns coasted to victory, 6-1. The win lifts Brooklyn to a record of 5-6.

Brooklyn took a 6-1 lead on Allen Lafontaine's 3rd home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which Lafontaine hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Boston pitcher Norihiro Hamamoto visibly frustrated.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Browns manager Jason Cormier.
