Visiting Stars Beat Athletics, 4-1
Los Angeles Stars starter Juan Fonseca hurled his team past the Kansas City Athletics, 4-1. Los Angeles, at 9-2, has sizzled in the early going.

Los Angeles used a well-timed hit by Ramão Bizarro to capture the win. The left fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Stars ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"The vibe's good," said Los Angeles manager Pat Kaers. "We've got to keep it going."
