Tucson turned a good performance from starting pitcher Taxi Sabala into a 3-2 triumph over the Phoenix Thunderbirds at Aetna Stadium. Cody Sosnowski recorded his 2nd save for Tucson. Tucson is off to a hot start at 2-0.

Sabala, who was born in Puebla, Mexico, threw 90 pitches over 7.1 innings, while allowing no runs.

"Taxi did a good job mixing and matching," said Tucson manager Rick Barnes.
