Titans Keep Clicking, Win, 5-1
|
Starting pitcher Salvatore Castellon was a major factor in the 5-1 New York Titans triumph over the Washington Senators. Castellon picked up the win for New York, going 5 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. At 9-3, the 2085 Titans have been excellent so far.
New York used a well-timed hit by Bob Rogers Jr. to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Titans ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Washington manager Nate Strauman.
