Gaedels Pocket 7-3 Win Against Washington
St. Louis shortstop Chris Fonville contributed significantly to his team's 7-3 win over the Washington Senators. Fonville, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2082, went 3 for 5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Gaedels. Andres Anguiano picked up the win with 5.2 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 1-1. St. Louis is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 3rd win in 12 games.

Edgar Albuja had a big solo home run for the Gaedels in the top of the third inning. With St. Louis leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a sinker from Chris McHargue, who is the 7th-best prospect in the Senators organization, and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Gaedels on top, 2-0.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Fonville told the St. Louis Times.
