In a tight contest between the Toronto Juggernauts and the Cincinnati Twins, Carl Rodda was the determining factor. The Toronto right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-0 win. Ignacio Noriega closed it out for Toronto, earning his 23rd save. The Twins, at 40-68, have lost 4 in a row.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Juggernauts had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when center fielder Armando Blea hit a 2-run single. The single came off Bryan Szabo and made the score 3-0, Juggernauts. Blea went 2-3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Carl did a heck of a job," said Toronto manager Marc Arnold.
