The Boston Greens had to reckon with Tucson Toros hurler Cody Sosnowski. Sosnowski, who is tied for 8th in the WC in saves with 14, overwhelmed the opposition in the 7-1 Toros triumph. Sosnowski, now 6-6, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Tucson goes to 47-61, Boston to 53-54.

Jose Pedroza, who led the WC in doubles with 50 in 2079, helped out the Tucson cause in the top of the second inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the designated hitter was 1-5 with a triple.
