Ford Impressive in 6-1 St. Louis Triumph
Ben Ford never let Boston get something going. The St. Louis left-hander commanded his changeup in pitching the Gaedels to a 6-1 win. St. Louis, at 42-66, holds down last place in the Eastern Conference Muldoom O'Mulmohery Division.

Ford was the winning pitcher. He raised his season record to 5-8. In 8.1 innings of work, Ford gave up no runs on 3 hits, while striking out 8. The Greens were never able to generate much offense.

"I didn't leave too many pitches out over the plate," said Ford.
