Harfangs Suffer 7-5 Loss to St. Louis
The St. Louis Gaedels topped the Montreal Harfangs, 7-5, at Veeck Park. St. Louis center fielder Geri Rengifo was a spark plug for the offense. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Brent Lannin earned the win, while 29-year old right-handed pitcher Tom Dobie took the loss for Montreal. At 57-51, the Gaedels are currently first in the Eastern Conference Zounes Kamuzu Division.

Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at Veeck Park seemed to enjoy watching the Eastern Conference action.

"We didn't play well enough to win," Montreal skipper Brendan Henry said.
