Zelaya Good, But Not Good Enough, in 7-6 Loss
Despite a great performance by Alaska third baseman Enriquillo Zelaya, the Vancouver Wolves defeated the Kodiaks by the score of 7-6 at Tundradome. Zelaya was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Hyun-koo Ka earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 5-3. The loss makes Alaska 58-48.

Keverne Brady had a big bases-clearing double for the Wolves in the top of the fifth inning. With Vancouver leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Jack Perry and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Wolves ahead, 5-1.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Brady, "but we got it done."
