Big Day for Garza: Swats 5 Hits
No matter what the Minneapolis Vikings threw at him, Carlos Garza hit it. He easily handled Vikings pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Metropolitanos triumph, 9-8, at Minneapolis Grounds.

"The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.

Told of Garza's quip, Vikings skipper Ace Cooan said he "would take him up on that next time."

Carlos Garza hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, walked in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

For the year, Garza is batting .315 with 100 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 38 times and driven in 47.
