Wolves Even Record with 4-1 Victory
|
The Vancouver Wolves defeated the Los Angeles Stars, 4-1, at Fox-Chong Park. Vancouver first baseman Osmel Rivera had a superb performance. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Yadisniel Saez got the win, improving to 2-3. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 4 hits and 1 run, while striking out 4 and walking 1. The third-place Wolves sport a record of 53-53.
With Vancouver trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Rivera hit a forkball from Roberto Davila for a 2-run home run. It was his 16th home run of the season and put the Wolves ahead, 2-1.
"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Wolves manager Zach Meinen.
