Buffalo ruined an otherwise fine effort from Roberto Rueda by toppling Kansas City, 5-1. The Kansas City pitcher threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball. With the win, Buffalo raised its record to 57-49.
Jeremy Grimm helped out the Buffalo cause in the top of the ninth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the center fielder drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate.
Buffalo manager Alex Beckman called it "a good, solid win."
