The Chicago Phantoms and Portland Dragons put on quite a show.

The Chicago Phantoms defeated the Portland Dragons, 5-4, in 10 innings in Western Conference action at Portland Park. Chicago pitcher Craig Kruppenbacher had a standout performance. After today's action, Chicago sits at 65-42; Portland slips to 53-53.

Chicago used a timely hit from Jose Buezo to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Phantoms ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"Craig pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Chicago manager Sam J.
