Houston picked up a win at Tesoro Stadium, bumping off the Buffalo Rangers, 5-3. Pitcher Ricky Zika was a major reason the Aquas emerged victorious. The first-place Aquas have won 4 straight.

David Kuthakwakulu dealt the Rangers a blow in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Houston leading 4-3, Kuthakwakulu, who is tied for 5th in the WC with a .407 on-base percentage, hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single.

"Really good pitchers have that ability to raise their game when they need to," said Houston manager Brandon Coroian.
