The Chicago Phantoms topped the Portland Dragons, 6-4, in 11 innings at Portland Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Chicago pitcher Taisei Yamamoto. Simone Banatoni picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-0. Ryan Mena, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2078 draft, was tagged with the loss. The Phantoms are now 64-42, while the Dragons fall to 53-52.

Chicago needed the clutch hitting of Jose Buezo to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Phantoms on top, 6-4. For the game, Buezo had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.

"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Buezo. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."
