Glaciers Pull Out Late Win, 3-2
|
Good production from catcher Bill Cleary helped the Denver Glaciers topple the Toronto Juggernauts, 3-2. Cleary was 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs for the Glaciers. Nestor Cantu, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. Denver has now won 3 straight, while the Juggernauts have lost 3 in a row.
Jose Carrasco was the walk-off hero for Denver. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Glaciers left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
