Glaciers Come Back Late, Nip Aquas
|
Glaciers fans were sent into a frenzy with a walk-off win.
The Denver Glaciers picked up a win at Mountain Dew Park, knocking off the Houston Aquas, 4-3. Starting pitcher Tetsukazu Kaneda was a big reason why. Denver reliever Mike Pechtel picked up the win, while Armando Montoya took the loss for Houston.
Adam Wysocki was the walk-off hero for Denver. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Glaciers pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Wysocki said.
Denver, now 58-46, holds down first place in the Western Conference Eddie Izurieta Division.
