Friars Rally For Late Win Over Dragons
Kelvin Vaquera pitched a gem to lead San Francisco to victory over the Portland Dragons, 3-1. Vaquera yielded 1 run over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 4, and struck out 3. His record improves to 6-10. Getting the save was Chris Mayea, his 6th.

Lyalya Markosiants came through with a big-time hit for San Francisco. The third baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Kelvin was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said San Francisco manager Erich Weatherholt.
