Arrows Win at Home, 7-3
|
The timely hitting of Brian Prochazka helped the Seattle Arrows down the Vancouver Wolves, 7-3. Prochazka was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Arrows. Ken Shearn picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 2-0. The 4th-place Arrows improved to 49-55.
Prochazka contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Seattle in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 3-2, Prochazka took a fastball from Dave Perez and stroked the home run to left. His 19th home run of the season allowed the Arrows to leap in front, 4-3.
"It was a solid team effort," said Prochazka after the game.
