Phantoms Use Late Surge to Win
The Chicago Phantoms powered past the Toronto Juggernauts, 12-4, at Foster Field. Alberto Guardiola went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2, to lead the charge. Simone Banatoni earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 3-1. With the win, Chicago raised its record to 56-47.

Dave Yerges drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate for Chicago. The six-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Fabian Estrada. It was his 14th walk of the season.
