The Minneapolis Vikings did just enough to sneak past the Maine Lobster, 4-3, at Minneapolis Grounds. Minneapolis pitcher Vismay Falcon, in particular, had a standout performance. Lesley Deakin recorded his 6th save for Minneapolis. The first-place Lobster dropped to 57-46.

Javy Trinidad dealt the Lobster a blow in the bottom of the seventh. Batting with the bases loaded and Minneapolis leading 2-1, Trinidad, who finished 5th in the WC in triples with 8 in 2082, hit a 1-0 curveball for a 2-run single.

"Vismay's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Minneapolis manager Ace Cooan.
