With 4-3 Win, Twins Improve to 51-51
|
The Cincinnati Twins beat the Brooklyn Browns, 4-3, at Cincinnati Grounds. Eloy Laca, in particular, was impressive. He was 2-2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Bryan Szabo earned the win for Cincinnati. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits, while striking out 9. With the win, he raised his record to 2-1. Bradley Parsons locked down his 1st save.
With Cincinnati leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Laca hit a changeup from Alberto Vasquez for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Twins ahead, 3-0.
Laca called the win a test of his team's "mettle."
Cincinnati occupies third place in the Eastern Conference Muldoom O'Mulmohery Division at 51-51.
