The 9-7 Brooklyn win over Cincinnati was due in large part to Raymilson Bayam. The Browns first baseman went 3-4 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The win boosted Brooklyn to 53-49.

Jack Bird went 1 for 3 with 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs for Brooklyn. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a 2-run single off Elvin Perfecto. It was his 86th hit of the season.

"Enjoyed this one," Bird told the Brooklyn Observer. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
