Rangers Double Up Aquas, 6-3
Buffalo took on Houston in front of a lively crowd.

Starting pitcher Alcides Zaldivar pitched well enough to help the Buffalo Rangers beat the Houston Aquas, 6-3. Picking up his 12th save was 27-year old right-handed pitcher Lupe Sandoval.

The Rangers got a big at-bat from right fielder Bobby Rojas. For the game, Rojas went 1 for 3 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 13th double of the season gave Buffalo a 5-3 lead.

"We have a lot of confidence in Alcides," said Buffalo manager Alex Beckman.

Buffalo, at 55-45, sits in second place in the Eastern Conference Goff Division.
