The San Francisco Friars got a sterling performance from pitcher Kevin Voda, but the Minneapolis Vikings still prevailed, 3-1. Voda threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball. Zee-loo Kim was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 20 of 21 save opportunities. With the win, Minneapolis upped its record to 62-40.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Vikings had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when catcher Eric Newland hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Kevin Voda and made the score 2-1, Vikings. Newland went 1 for 2 with a walk.

Newland called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
