Senators Dealt 6-1 Loss by Miami
|
With center fielder Yuki Soma leading the charge, the Miami Cyclones defeated the Washington Senators, 6-1, at Kroger Stadium. Soma went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Miami pitcher Sergej van Anrooij earned the win, hiking his record to 6-2. Kelly Lazell suffered the loss. The Cyclones win now puts them at 42-58.
The Cyclones got a big at-bat from right fielder Adam Adamski. For the game, Adamski went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 27th double of the season gave Miami a 1-0 lead.
"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Adamski.
