Senators Get One-Run Win at Miami
|
Adam Adamski did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Miami Cyclones from being beaten, 6-5, to the Washington Senators at Kroger Stadium. Adamski went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Rajam Masrani was the winner. He's now 1-5. The loser was 20-year old left-handed pitcher Robert Rosas. Rafael Morales was credited with the save, his 7th in 11 tries.
Washington used the hitting of Scott Flynn to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Senators on top, 6-2. For the game, Flynn had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
Washington manager Josh Cooan was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard," he said.
The Senators sport a record of 38-61.
