Nosediving Friars Lose, 3-2
|
The Glaciers kept their hot streak going.
The Denver Glaciers got a good effort from starter Tetsukazu Kaneda in defeating the San Francisco Friars at Staples Field. The final score was 3-2. Adam Mimnaugh earned the save, his 23rd.
The Glaciers got a big at-bat from catcher Alvaro Salazar. For the game, Salazar was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. In the top of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 18th home run of the season gave Denver a 3-2 lead.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Denver manager Todd Bleess.
The winning streak has now reached 9 games for Denver.
