The Chicago Phantoms scored a tight, 2-1 win versus the Vancouver Wolves at Fox-Chong Park. Chicago pitcher Taisei Yamamoto held his own in the contest. Yamamoto picked up the win for Chicago, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Marc Diamond earned the save, his 1st, for the Phantoms.

Amdre Ceclio, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2078, had a direct impact on the outcome. Ceclio contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning to put Chicago up, 2-0.

"Not enough offense on our side," lamented Vancouver manager Zach Meinen.

The win brings the Phantoms to 3-7, an awful start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
