Harfangs 4-2 Winners Versus New York
|
The Montreal Harfangs knocked off the New York Titans, 4-2, in Eastern Conference action at Mount Royal Park. Montreal pitcher and Miami, Florida, native Huggy Bruce had an outstanding performance. With the win, the Harfangs are 31-66.
Marty Avalos drove in one run for Montreal. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Lao Lum. It was his 15th RBI of the season.
Montreal manager Brendan Henry commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
