Wolves Lose at Home, 5-2
|
The Portland Dragons dealt the Vancouver Wolves a 5-2 loss at Fox-Chong Park. Eddie Duarte was the star on offense. He was 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs. Alberto Rosario earned his 5th save, after closing out the game. The third-place Dragons now have a win-loss record of 48-49.
Early in the game, Duarte had a 2-run double for Portland. It was his 9th double of the season and put the Dragons on top, 2-0.
Portland manager Greg Carpenter was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
