Las Vegas took on Seattle in front of a lively crowd.

The Las Vegas Aces downed the Seattle Arrows, 8-1, at Western Coliseum. Stellar pitching by Omezo Suyama had a lot to do with it. The left-hander, who leads the WC in strikeouts with 177, handcuffed his opponent all game. Suyama got the win, improving to 9-3. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. He allowed 1 run.

Justin Evans hit a 2-run triple off B.J. Terriquez in the bottom of the first, which put the Aces in front, 2-0. Evans had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.

"I just tried to stick to my strengths," said Suyama.

Las Vegas occupies third place in the Western Conference Michael Fridy Division at 48-49.
