Buffalo Rangers starter Gerald Tanton pitched his team past the Denver Glaciers, 3-2. Buffalo reliever Rin Sakai picked up the win, raising his record to 6-3. Jorge Diaz was tagged with the loss. With the win, the Rangers have a record of 57-40.

The decisive blow was delivered by Merlin Garbie in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 22-year old left-handed pitcher Jorge Diaz to win the game for Buffalo. The home crowd went nuts.

"We were in it," said Denver manager Todd Bleess. "We just didn't score enough runs."
