The Las Vegas Aces scored a convincing win at Stars Ballpark, defeating the Los Angeles Stars, 12-0. One of the hitting stars was Sardis Abrego, who is a two-time All-Star, who went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Omezo Suyama went 7 innings for Las Vegas to pick up the win. The left-hander was charged with no runs. He scattered 1 hit, while walking 2 and striking out 9. His record improves to 10-3. The second-place Stars have lost 6 consecutive games.
With Las Vegas leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Abrego hit a curveball from Danny Serrano for a 2-run home run. It was his 23rd home run of the season and put the Aces ahead, 3-0.
