The inspired effort of Miami right fielder Todd Kozuch was not enough to prevent a loss, 8-7, to the Baltimore Kings. Kozuch was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Reliever Marc Diamond picked up the win. His record improves to 4-3. Kazune Kimoto, who is tied for 2nd in the EC in holds with 15, took the loss. Jeremy Lanham recorded the save, making him 3 for 4.

Robbie Klabunde was 1-3 with a walk against the Cyclones. With the game tied in the top of the eighth inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put Baltimore in front, 8-7.

"Nothing is scripted in this game," said Klabunde.
